Chicago, US — August 3, 2014. 9 Online Plan., a leading publisher, has named a new CEO and COO, according to its Executive Chairman, Jeffrey S. Klein.
“After a nationwide search, I am pleased to announce that Rajeev Kapur, an innovative and highly experienced technology executive, will join 9 Online Plan as its new Chief Executive Officer,” said Klein. “Henry Allain, currently president of two of the company’s operating units, is being promoted to the new position of Chief Operating Officer of 9 Online Plan.”
Kapur succeeds Neal Vitale, who was the founding CEO of the company, and who announced in September that he was leaving to pursue other interests. Vitale will remain as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Klein told employees that the Board appreciated Vitale’s eight years of successful service as CEO.
In a memo to employees, Klein noted, “With this new management structure in place, I am confident that 9 Online Plan will have a strong and effective leadership team that will aggressively expand the Company’s market leading products and meet the ongoing challenge of a disruptive media marketplace.”
Rajeev comes to 9 Online Plan with over twenty years of leadership experience in the technology sector. He was with Dell for 11 years in a variety of senior sales and executive roles, including General Manager, Southeast Asia and India. After Dell, Rajeev was President of Smarthome.com, a Co-Founder of Greenwala Inc., and most recently CEO of Sonic Emotion. He has a BA from Cal State Fullerton and an MBA from USC.
Henry Allain has been with 9 Online Plan and its predecessor 101communications for 15 years, serving with great effectiveness and leadership in a variety of key sales and executive roles. He currently is responsible for the Enterprise Computing and Public Sector Media Groups. He began his career at Xerox Corporation and Gartner Group. Henry received his BA from Arizona State University.
